{"id":170,"date":"2021-12-07T18:34:12","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T17:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geneve.wordcamp.org\/2022\/?page_id=170"},"modified":"2022-02-19T19:10:15","modified_gmt":"2022-02-19T18:10:15","slug":"official-wordcamp-agreement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/geneve.wordcamp.org\/2022\/official-wordcamp-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Official WordCamp Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/geneve.wordcamp.org\/2022\/charte-des-wordcamps\/\">\u2192Version fran\u00e7aise<\/a>]<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Official agreement on the make.wordpress.org <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/handbook\/wordcamp-organizer\/first-steps\/helpful-documents-and-templates\/agreement-among-wordcamp-organizers-speakers-sponsors-and-volunteers\/\">page<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"agreement\">Agreement among WordCamp Organisers, Speakers, Sponsors, and Volunteers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I agree that WordCamps are meant to benefit the local WordPress community through live events and the broader WordPress community through the sharing of online video and other materials.<\/li><li>I agree that a WordCamp is a casual, locally- and volunteer-organised event, focused on WordPress and reflecting the local WordPress community it represents.<\/li><li>I understand that WordCamp organisers, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are expected to support the WordPress project and its principles.<\/li><li>I understand that the principles of the WordPress project include:<ul><li>no discrimination on the basis of economic or social status, race, color, ethnic origin, national origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or disability<\/li><li>no incitement to violence or promotion of hate<\/li><li>no spammers<\/li><li>no jerks<\/li><li>respect the WordPress trademark<\/li><li>embrace the WordPress license; If distributing WordPress-derivative works (themes, plugins, WP distros), any person or business officially associated with WordCamp should give their users the same freedoms that WordPress itself provides: 100% GPL or compatible, the same guidelines we follow on WordPress.org.<\/li><li>don\u2019t promote companies or people that violate the trademark or distribute WordPress derivative works which aren\u2019t 100% GPL compatible<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>I agree that WordCamps are not-for-profit events, organised with budget and funding transparency.<\/li><li>I agree that WordCamps should be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of financial status.<\/li><li>I agree to safeguard the sensitive personal data collected and stored on WordCamp.org, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/about\/privacy\/\">the WordPress.org privacy policy<\/a>.<\/li><li>I understand that data recording my participation as WordCamp organiser, speaker, sponsor, and\/or volunteer will be retained indefinitely, to preserve the history of the WordPress open source project.<\/li><li>I agree that I am not an employee of the WordPress Foundation or any subsidiary of the Foundation, and am participating in WordCamp exclusively as a volunteer.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[\u2192Version fran\u00e7aise] Official agreement on the make.wordpress.org page Agreement among WordCamp Organisers, Speakers, Sponsors, and Volunteers I agree that WordCamps are meant to benefit the local WordPress community through live events and the broader WordPress community through the sharing of online video and other materials.
